The Samsung Galaxy S10 is finally here, and you're spoilt for choice this time.

February 21, 2019

Early this morning, Samsung revealed the highly anticipated Galaxy S10 lineup, and there are 4 different versions to choose from.

The standard S10 lineup will have 3 variations to choose from that will all be released at the same time.

- S10e (5.8" flat screen)

- S10 (6.1" edge screen)

- S10+ (6.4" edge screen)

Later this year we will also see the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G also added to the list with it's 6.7" edge display.

All of the phones have a brand new screen called "Infinity O display on AMOLED". This will allow the phones to have:

- The most colour accurate display ever on a mobile device

- Support HDR 10+

- 42% Less blue light (without applying a filter)

- A hole punch camera on the front which allows the screen to flow around the camera, thanks to the individually placed pixels. This will also help provide all of the phones end-to-end screens.

All of the phones will have a Snapdragon 855 processor inside, 6-12GB of memory (depending on which model) and they will all start with a base of 128gb internal storage but if you go for the S10+ variant you can get up to 1TB of internal storage + support for a 512GB standard micro SD giving you a whopping 1.5TB of storage.

As for battery life, the S10e will have a 3,100mAh battery, the S10 will have a 3,400mAh battery and the S10+ will have a huge 4,100mAh battery.

All of the phones will also have:

- IP68 water resistance,

- Wireless Charging

- Audio Jack

- Wi-Fi 6 Compatibility

But now the phones can also charge another compatible device! Simply place the other device on the back of the phone and it'll instantly start charging it.

This feature will also work with the brand new Galaxy Buds & Galaxy Fit that were also announced.

One of the really cool features both the S10 & S10+ will have is the worlds 1st Ultrasonic Fingerprint scanner. Unlike the S9 & S9+ which had the fingerprint scanner on the back, the S10 & S10+ will have the fingerprint scanner embedded in the screen. Unlike similar technology that has been seen on other phones which have used an optical scanner, Samsung believe the ultrasonic scanner will be far more secure and be more reliable.

Note: The S10e has the fingerprint scanner inside the power button instead

Now for the part that many people will be wanting to know. Cameras..

Well, all 3 phones have at least a dual camera setup with both standard wide angle and ultra wide angle lenses. However, in addition to that the S10 & S10+ also have a 3rd telephoto camera on the back. As for the front of the phone, you will now find a 10mp sensor that can record in 4K as well as the S10+ version having a 2nd front camera for enhanced portrait effects.

Panorama images will now also stretch from the ground to the sky and this will be the first phone in the world, capable of recording videos in HDR10+.

As well as a tonne of improvements to features such as live focus and a tonne of new effects with it, Samsung have also been working with Instagram to bring you a new Instagram mode and give Samsung users the best Instagram experience. The cameras are also smarter than ever, with them being able to help you frame an image perfectly and give you tips on how to take those professional shots.

Samsung also unveiled some next gen wearables with one of the main stars being the Galaxy Buds.
